Agape Hood Cold Brew
At Agape Hood, we believe the Church should be present in the community not just with words, but with tangible acts of love. One of our favorite ways to do that is through cold brew coffee. Why cold brew? Because we live in Texas and if you've been here in the summer, you know why.

Cold Brew vs. Iced Coffee: Why It Matters
Cold brew isn’t just iced coffee. It’s crafted with patience, care, and a little chemistry. While iced coffee is brewed hot and then cooled down often resulting in a bitter or watered-down taste cold brew is made by steeping coarse, freshly ground beans in cold water for an extended period, usually 18–24 hours. The result is a smooth, rich, and naturally sweeter coffee that’s low in acidity and high in flavor. No heat, no rush just bold, refreshing goodness. At Agape Hood, we brew our cold brew in a ten-gallon commercial system, grinding the beans fresh and letting the process unfold slowly over a full day. This method draws out all the chocolatey, nutty, and mellow notes that make cold brew not just a drink, but an experience.

Why We Do It
Cold brew is more than a beverage for us it’s a bridge to our community. We use it to bless our congregation and show up generously at local events, markets, and neighborhood gatherings. When people are sweating in the Texas heat, there’s something almost sacred about being handed a cold brew with a smile. It’s not about building our brand it’s about building relationships.Jesus turned water into wine to celebrate a wedding. We just brew really good coffee to say: You're loved, you’re seen, and it’s on us. We tag it with #itsonusbecauseHeLovesYou, because every cup is an invitation to experience the love of Christ in simple, beautiful ways.

Come Sip and See
Whether you're part of our Sunday morning crew or bump into us at a community event, know this: the cold brew is strong, the love is real, and you’re always welcome. So grab a glass. Stay a while. Let’s talk life, faith, and maybe even pour you a second cup.
